In-mold tapping technology enables simultaneous, integrated stamping and tapping, perfectly suited to the continuous, high-speed mass production model of the home appliance industry, significantly reducing processing cycles.

In Motor Housings

The motor housing has a large number of threaded holes and is produced in large quantities. The long-term vibration of the equipment places extremely high demands on the thread strength and the cleanliness of the housing.

Compared with the traditional post-processed multi-axis tapping process, in-mold tapping can complete the tapping process simultaneously during the stamping stage, which is suitable for continuous stamping and significantly improves the production cycle time. The extrusion molding process eliminates the residue of cutting chips.

In Automotive Parts Industry

Using in-mold tapping in automotive parts production unifies the machining datum with stamping, resulting in higher thread and hole accuracy and meeting the stringent tolerance standards of automotive parts.

In-mold tapping units have a wide range of applications in various general hardware parts fields. Relying on progressive dies, they can complete punching, forming, tapping, and blanking simultaneously in one go. Recommended Machine

  • In order to use cutting taps, the structure of the mold needs to be improved. We adopted the design based on the BK-RN series in-mold tapping unit and made corresponding modifications to the structure.
